Portrait from imagination

I did two versions. Thinking about making her eyes a bit lighter. From imagination means that I looked at absolutely nothing but a blank canvas. This is the hardest type of realism and art to paint, which is probably why fantasy wasn’t done until modern times because painters of the past had a hard time painting without looking at references.

Blackpire

An extremely powerful African vampire.

Rebelle 3 watercolor. I cannot believe how awesome these work. I use almost all the exact same brush strokes and techniques as I would with my traditional watercolors. Only two things are hard to do. Lifting and my technique of wet on dry, then clean wet brush to blend out an edge, which is similar to lifting.
